A Mission Worth Supporting

Did you know that over 17,700 farms were lost in Texas in just five years?

Most of these were small-scale, family-run operations. Protecting the farmers we have left and supporting the next generation of farmers and ranchers is at the heart of this event. Supporting these small producers and educating our community about regenerative farming practices are essential steps toward building a more resilient, sustainable, and equitable food system.

THE SOUTHERN FAMILY FARMERS & FOOD SYSTEMS CONFERENCE AIMS TO:

STRENGTHEN FARM RESILIENCE: Provide practical tools to improve soil health, enhance conservation efforts, develop financial skills, and establish holistic goals.

• FOSTER HEALTHIER ECOSYSTEMS:
Promote biodiversity and environmental protection through sustainable farming practices.

• EXPAND ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITIES:
Help producers save costs, access government incentives, and reach new markets that value sustainable and regenerative products.

• ENSURE COMMUNITY ACCESS TO NUTRITIOUS, LOCAL FOOD:
Build equitable and resilient local food systems and supply chains that prioritize health for all.

When you support the SFFFS Conference, you’re investing in a brighter future for our farmers, communities, and environment. Your support not only makes the conference’s successes possible, but also sustains the year-round mission of all three organizing nonprofits — Farm and Ranch Freedom Alliance, Council for Healthy Food Systems, and Small Producers Initiative.
